- Liquorice has been traditionally used for its demulcent activity in Western herbal medicine.
- Liquorice may help to heal damaged gut mucosa by increasing local concentrations of prostaglandins that promote mucus production and cell proliferation in the stomach.
- Multiple ingredients support digestion, including improving gastric motility and bile production.
- Turmeric may suppress gastric acid production and reduce gastric acid-induced damage via the inhibition of histamine 2 receptors.
