Orthoplex Indol-Active™ DIM is for use in extemporaneous compounding and contains 3,3'diindolylmethane (DIM) encapsulated in a phospholipid liposome.
DIM is a phytochemical formed from cruciferous vegetables. Research demonstrates that pure crystalline DIM is extremely insoluble in water or oil and poorly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract after oral ingestion. Indol-Active™ DIM uses small particle sizes of spherical vesicles, consisting of phospholipid molecules, to encapsulate the DIM, aiding its delivery through the gastrointestinal tract (GIT).
Each 1g provides 45mg of elemental DIM, formulated in a base of manufacturing excipients containing 750mg of calcium saccharate (calcium D-glucarate), 62.3mg of glycine and 4mg of colloidal anhydrous silica.
