Superfeast Cordyceps is the medicinal mushroom for athletes (including mums!). Used for building core energy, stamina, endurance and improving recovery time.
Cordyceps (Cordyceps sinensis) is used as a life-enhancing herb in the Taoist herbal system. The primary action of cordyceps is on the kidneys, enhancing the function and capabilities so that greater power and stamina can be maintained throughout the physical structure of the body. The Jing energy of the kidneys is considered our primordial energy, the seat of our longevity and genetic potential, and cordyceps has been used for thousands of years to enhance Jing, especially by athletes. Cordyceps is also a lung tonic and has been used traditionally to increase blood oxygen absorption. This function allows for greater cellular performance, stamina and recovery time. Along with athletes, cordyceps is traditionally used post-partum by mothers recovering from labour and birth and by the elderly to rebuild their foundational energy and assist the physical body in staying strong into old age.
